Hi there, I wanted to share a few issues that I'm experiencing with my Synaptics Touch pad after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, hoping to find a solution. I'm using HP Pavilion dv7-6c95dx, 64-bit. 1) There seems to be a freeze after you take any type of action using the keyboard, it's always a 3 second freeze before the cursor can be moved. 2) The orange light on the touch pad is ALWAYS on. Doesn't matter if the touch pad is enabled or not. The best solution I have thought of was to uninstall the driver and reinstall it- however I have had no luck finding a Synaptics driver for windows 10 for my specific HP model from the HP website, so I couldn't implement this solution.

To do so follow the steps mentioned below: STEP- a. Right click/tap twice the driver setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

I just fixed mine! You have to click on the windows button at the bottom left of the screen, then go into settings-devices-mouse and touchpad and turn off the touchpad delay. Now you are half done. Next go into settings using the Gear icon at the bottom left of the screen (not the windows icon this time).

Then click control panel and look for your touchpad software (Mine is synaptics touchpad version 1.7). Open that, and go to the advanced panel, and turn 'Filter Activation Time' down to 0. Worked for me. It works but how come it still stops a tiny bit?!

(I'm on a Windows 10 Laptop) I used settings and turned touchpad delay to None, I did what you said, nothing's working. Does it not work on Laptops?
